Teaching - Learning Process
Individual students may be better suited to learning in a particular way, using distinctive modes for thinking, relating and creating. The notion of students having particular learning styles has implications for teaching strategies. Because preferred modes of input and output vary from one individual to another, it is critical that teachers use a range of teaching strategies to effectively meet the needs of individual learners. Good instruction should incorporate a variety of teaching methods intended to complement the learning styles of children. This should lead to young learners who are both intrinsically and extrinsically motivated to inquire, infer, and interpret; to think reflectively, critically and creatively; and in the final analysis to make use of the knowledge and skills they have gained by becoming effective decision makers.

The department has been concentrating in Education, Training & Research on VTU syllabus & modern technologies The department is committed to developing excellence in education, training and research by concentrating on teaching learning process. The staffs are encouraged to use various teaching strategies so that an effective teaching methodology is achieved. Institutionalized attempts are being made to promote and foster excellence in developing knowledge skills and attitudes in all students and commitment to values in faculty and staff.

The students face with varied problems in their tight schedule and it becomes important that proper stream lining of the students is essential for a successful society. In this aspect proctorship plays a major role. Each Faculty has few students allocated under his care with and the students can discuss all matters including academics with their proctors. The proctors meet their students every week and give counseling and guidance so that the performance of the students is monitored periodically. Parent teacher meeting is organized every month after the Internal Assessment so that parents meet the teachers and have a one to one discussion and the problem area to be addressed is identified.
